Who we are

The data controller is Linescode S.R.L., Via Livorno, 49 – 91026 Mazara del Vallo (TP), Italy – VAT 02609040817.

You can contact us about anything related to your personal data at info@linescode.com or on +39 0923 906599.

This policy is provided under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applies to the website linescode.com only.

What this site does not do

This is a static, informational website. It has no contact forms, no user accounts, no newsletter and no database. We do not ask you to enter any personal data on the site, we do not sell data and we do not use cookies for advertising or profiling.

Data we process

Browsing data

Like any website, the servers that host linescode.com automatically record some technical data when a page is requested: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, response code, browser and operating system (user agent) and referring page.

  • Purpose: delivering the site, keeping it secure and diagnosing technical problems.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: server logs are kept for no longer than 30 days, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.

The site is hosted on servers managed directly by Linescode. Fonts and all other resources are served from our own servers: browsing the site does not send requests to third parties, except for the analytics described below if you accept them.

If you click Accept in the privacy banner, we use Google Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used: pages visited, time spent, type of device and browser, approximate location (country/city) and how you reached the site. Analytics uses pseudonymous identifiers stored in cookies; we do not use it to identify you.

  • Purpose: statistics to improve the site.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you click Reject or close the banner, analytics is never loaded.
  • Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, acting as our processor.
  • Transfers outside the EU: data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023).
  • Retention: analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics, no longer than 14 months.

You can withdraw your consent at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Details on the cookies used are in our Cookie Policy.

When you write to us or call us

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you choose to share with us (for example name, email address, phone number and the content of your message).

  • Purpose: replying to you and, where relevant, handling a request for a quotation or a collaboration.
  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in replying to the messages we receive (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Retention: for the time needed to handle your request and, if a business relationship follows, for the periods required by law.

The site contains links to LinkedIn, Facebook and Google Maps. They are plain links: nothing from those services is loaded on our pages until you click them. Once you are on their websites, their own privacy policies apply.

Who can access the data

Your data is processed by Linescode staff authorised to do so and, for analytics only, by Google as our processor. We do not disclose personal data to other third parties, except where required by law.

Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, write to info@linescode.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of the EU country where you live or work.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example if the site or the services it uses change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
